Let's get Organized: Master Closet

So I unofficially dubbed 2012 to be the Year of Organization! (Or is it official now that it's in writing?)

I'm sure my family is thrilled... Truth be told, my husband is more OCD than me so deep down inside, I know it fires him up.
Get in my way and you just might get labeled and/or put in a bin.

My awesome sister-in-law in Oregon commented (on Facebook):
"Maybe you should post a tip of the week for slackers like me and I will do my best to make 2012 to be the year that I (we) get organized :)"

Not sure I can promise a tip of the WEEK, but I can at least post some of the organization I've done.

Since moving to OK a year ago, I've tackled several areas of our home, starting with the closet.
I used these bins from Bed, Bath and Beyond
(**I never buy anything from BBB without using coupons, cuz they will accept expired coupons as well as competitor coupons, including Kohl's!)
Large bins = $12.99/each

And shoe bins, also from B, B, B:
(can't seem to find the link for them, but want to say they came in a pack of 20?  You'll see them in the photos below.)

And blankets went under beds in these containers from Target:

Master Closet AFTER:
Soooo much better!

BTW,  I did not start out being an organized person.
I'm a far cry from this organizing guru at:
IHeart Organizing
(She's amaaaazing!)
But I am saying that even the most unorganized person can turn it around.
If you ask my mother, I'm sure she would horrify you with stories about
literally shoveling a path to my bed at night.
But then I had an apartment of my own.
And then I met my OCD, former military husband.

The rest is history.
Now it's becoming an addiction!

And my other awesome sister-in-law in Cali told me to check out this show:
The Amandas
All new episodes air on January 30 @ 8pm/7pmC on the Style Network

Next up... T's closet!
